Difference between 05-07 and 08+ stock exhaust

Like the title says, I'm wondering what the difference is on an LS? In the diagram I've gotten from my GM dealer, it shows that my 08 has a 2 bolt flange at the end of the downpipe/start of the resonator pipe. The catback I'm looking at says it's for an 05-07. Are they different sized flanges, or do the pipes bend different ways? One reason I'm asking is because I've seen catbacks for 08+ on there are the cheapest is around $450...a bend or flange doesn't cost that much of a difference...

All 2.4, 2.2 and LSJ engines come with a 2 bolt downpipe where as LNF SS' come with a 3 bolt.

It'll work. I had that exhaust on my 2008 2.2. Loved it, it fit great too. Didn't hang down or anything.

Thanks guys, just what I wanted to hear, I'll be ordering it in the next couple weeks. Seems like it's a marketing ploy then for 08+ Cobalts then.

Another question that pertains to the thread title. I've seen on a few threads on here that the stock exhaust manifold on 07+ Cobalts are the same as what came on the LSJ's, is this correct? I know a header would flow better, but is it a worth while upgrade? I'll be changing my downpipe to one from ZZP since I know the stock one is a huge restriction with the 2 cats.

They are not the same, someone posted a picture awhile I back, I run a ported LSJ header and it rocks, the primaries on the LSJ are bigger than the primaries on the 07 LS, as far as I know
