Dual Exaust

I can't find a dual exuast system anywhere on the internet. I have looked for two days, My freaking exaust is cracked so I want a dual exaust like the one I see on the RK Sport cobalt. I do have the LS so will this cause problems?

I think the RK Sport Cobalt has a dummy tip for its dual. Because the RK Sport Cobalt is running the 2.25" Magnaflow Catback exhaust system (Single). Check out magnaflow.com if you want to see.

Go to an exhaust shop and go custom. It will be much cheaper..

Dont go with the SLP, it sounds good on Muscle but not sport compacts.

from what i learned on these forums 3 in on a non f/i cobalt will actually lose power. 2.5 should be plenty if staying n/a

You are correct but it is all based on velocity, not weather youre FI or NA. If you would like to read further into it go to the cobb tuning website and look for the very good article.

I have a dual exhaust by slp and it sounds great and power is noticeable instantly you take it out for a spin. It comes with directions and inserts to install in on the cobalt ss. Honestly you will lose horsepower and spend over $700 if u go that route. Go to a good exhaust shop and have them do a custom exhaust. You'll be happier going that route.

What everyone is saying is so true. I made my own custom and it sounds awesome. Nice rubble at idle and plently of breathing. Just go this route you wont be disappointed

i had dual exhaust on my Cobalt ls and it worked out fine...it sounded awesome. i went the custom route and went to the shop..they did look at me funny but hey i wanted what i wanted........i bought 2 dual tip mufflers from ebay for like 40 dollars a piece then went to the exhaust shop and had them weld be up a cat back with a Y pipe right after the axle...for 250...the exhaust was 2.25 cuz i though since i was goin dual than i would lose a little back pressure so if i went 2.5 than it would be to much........
my mistakes!!!
1. the dual tip mufflers of ebay sounded great looked great, but the guy welded on the hanger to the muffler which overtime broke the welds of the baffle on the inside which caused an anoying rattle.
2. after thinking about it 2 regular aftermarket mufflers woulda fit better i think
3.the welds from the shop werent clean and started leaking because of the custom job
4.even with the y pipe installed the left muffler recieved more flow and heat which caused the left one to look more wore out than the right one...it might not be that important but the balance was off which drove me nuts!!!
5.After i took the system off and went the single route i noticed that it was very heavy which prob slowed me down.
6.i liked it cuz i was really the only balt i saw with it but...im more of the WRX style exhaust so i got 2.25 header back with that WRX stlye bend in it with a carbon fibor muffler so it cuts back on the weight for 300 from the exhaust shop i know its not much but hey
It sounded very good though with the Dual on tho more throaty than anything
i have pics in my VB of my exhaust now if u wanna check er out...ill try and find a pic of the dual exhaust for ya

ok i found 2 i dont know how to post a pic in this but ill put them in my VB if u wanna check them out
