Ecotec Head Build/Porting
 

Has anyone got head work done through FMSR or SMG Motoring? Would this be a good company to go through?

I have been going to SMG Motoring for 7 years. They are building a eco head right now. not sure if its 2.2/2.4/2.0 but they had pictures on their page.

I have to drop my head off to them for a build in the next couple of weeks.

They said they would work on a 07 L61 head so I might try them out!

I've never actually heard anywhere, how much is the typical port job? Or how much has anyone spent?

Smg motoring port job is 500

I have an LSJ, LE5 and LNF heads at my shop. I don't recall which will flow better on the intake side between the LSJ and LE5. The LNF head had much larger exhaust ports than any other Ecotec head that I've personally seen. I have ported an LSJ head to the size of the LNF and just used the LNF exhaust gasket.
