first steps in building your engine...
we all know the exterior performance mod steps, like, air intake, exhaust. springs...
What kind of things can you add or replace on the engine that would start to show an immprovment on performance??? |
s/c, turbo..
|
higher compression pistons, springs/ retainers + cams, NITROUS... and last but not least, driver mod stage 3
|
air intakes and exhaust aren't exterior performance modz

If you are looking for actual performance gains, then not much. Most of what you do on the inside of the engine is designed to support the extra power from things outside of the engine. Replacing rods and pistons does nothing to your power. It just allows it to take more. Basically you should plan on what you want to do outside the engine (forced induction, nitrous) and then build the inside accordingly.
