Thewafflesareburnt's Toasty Fresh Build Thread

Hey guys, for all of you that don't know me my name is Steven. I have a 2008 LS L61

I'm going to be supercharging my car soon and I figured I should make somewhere where I can update everyone on it. I'm looking to make a reliable daily driver not crazy power. I bought the zzp base supercharger kit and gathered the rest of the stuff used. I have everything including a new pcm which I'm going to send to zzp for a can tune. All together came out to about $1100

Below is a list of everything currently done to the car and below that a list of my supercharger parts

Visual:
Debadged when I bought it
Removed side molding
Roof rack (I mountain bike so it's not all visual )
Garage door seal lip (I was on the fence but it looks okay and stops me from scraping on my driveway)
Depo gen 4 projectors with 6k HIDs
Hella Supertones
DIY mesh grill
Black front bowtie
Impala LED 3rd brake light

Interior:
JVC KW-R910BT headunit
pioneer door speakers (not sure of model they were in when I bought the car)
Dual 12" Sub with matching amp
G5 GT gauge cluster
Painted dash trim same gunmetal as wheels
GMPP accelerator pedal (thanks riceburner)
Aeroforce Interceptor SS

Suspension:
fe5 ss/tc shocks/struts
ottp lowering springs
ottp hardcore rear sway bar
Moog sway bar endlinks

Wheels/Tires:
Ace Allure 17x7.5 (painted gunmetal and silver they were painted pink when I bought them lol)
Bf Goodrich Sport Comp 2 205/45/17
Pink lug nuts because they came with the wheels and they've grown on me

Performance:
Tsudo catback
has an ebay intake
ZZP midlength header/catted dp(thanks riceburner)

SUPERCHARGER PARTS:
ZZP base kit (gaskets, bolts and misc) 3.1" pulley
M62 with new coupler
LSJ throttle body
Siemens 60# injectors
ZZP S3 heat exchanger
Custom dual pass endplate(thanks riceburner)

Not technically cobalt related, but I picked up a couple rockymounts tierod's for my mountain bikes. I was over my cheap racks and I got these for $100 (150 each new). The build quality is excellent and the locks seem on par or better than my yakima ones.

I also got my dual pass installed on the manifold today after having to order a replacement manifold. Does anyone have any advice on bleeding a dual pass without option b? I assume the same way you would a regular endplate.

Why not just make an option B? Its pretty simple.

On the zzp instructions for the option b there is one hose that you run to the bottom intake manifold by drilling and tapping into it. If someone else has a different hose diagram that avoids that then I might do it

Ah I see. Where would I run the air bleed line since I don't have a stock heat exchanger?

I finally got the header installed today. Turns out two of the manifold studs were broken in the block. Was a little bit of a headache, but it sounds good
