Hey everyone. My engine shop just called and he said the core cylinder head I brought him to replace my damaged one has a difference casting. Apparently one end is different. My original engine is a 2005 L61 and the core I got was a 2003. I wasn't aware of a diiference, and I haven't seen the two heads side by side yet (I will tomorrow morning). Does anyway know of a specific part number difference or casting number difference between the two heads? Are they compatible?

 

They should be the same, although im not exactly sure of the part numbers. The only difference i think of off hand is the block-off for the power steering pump that is used on the 03. If you want more information, pm me and ill get on service information and get you something that can help you...
