How would these 2.0 parts fit on a 2.2

How would the Downpipe and the manifold from a 2.0 blot up to my 2.2
What types of gains should i expect from them

XM15 07-06-2007 11:03 AM

They will bolt up just fine. I would venture that you should see gains approaching 10 hp.

sick06cobalt 07-06-2007 11:03 AM

the thing is youll need a new gastket...

wdsoccer 07-06-2007 11:05 AM

can get that at the dealership or a autoparts store

you'll feel a gain, but not as much as aftermarket.

Delta2.2 07-06-2007 11:35 AM

wdsoccer 07-06-2007 11:37 AM

yea, a downpipe is pretty comon thing to get a cel. especially with a cat that flows higher than what your computer is calibrated for. it's not a bad thing, you can just delete the code, nothing is being hurt. unless you have a bad cat, which would probably be a different code.

put it this way. i was getting on average around 27-28. i got rid of the dowpipe and put the STOCK one back on and it went up to 30 MPG. i drove the same way and to the same place everyday. 2 MPG better for no code is FTW. it made my car run richer wasteing more gas

I remember seeing a post where someone repositioned the sensor and the engine thougt it was just the normal flow. I cannot remember who did it put if someone knows, please post the link.

I've got the full SS exhaust system. From the manifold to the muffler and I've never thrown a code and it bolted right up.
