I Need Advice on Removing A Engine

I need some advice on removing the engine, after unbolting all the obvious engine mounts and disconnecting the harnesses, what is the best route to do this, should I take the engine out from the top, or should I raise the car up around the engine and then slide the engine out?

Thanks.

i'd just lower it out and slide the car off, but that's mainly because my garage isn't really large enough to lift it over and out.

i went threw the top, just make sure you pull the harmonic balancer off first and it slides out pretty easy

I would support the subframe and then unbolt it and then raise the car up and pull it out if you have the ability to get the car up in the air high enough otherwise it's through the top FTW...

Due to space issues I've always removed the crossmember and dropped the motor out the bottom... but if you have the space a cherry picker is definitely easier...

Thanks for all your replies, I have the space to pull the engine up but I think I will be taking the engine out from the bottom.

Thanks again.
