There is enough slack in the hoses though to reconnect them. Worst case scenario I just pick up some new ones.

I got a chance to work on the block again...
Removed the OEM pistons from the block
Then I took the bedplate off and removed the crank
Do I need any special sealant for the bedplate?
After that I started deglazing the cylinder walls
All four cylinders deglazed. Its kind of hard to see the details but do you guys think I hit the cylinders pretty good?
Next I plan to replace the crank bearings and bolts, re-install the crank and then I'll deal with the pistons and rods

So its not really worth it to go with the overbored Wisecos? Planning on getting a second motor to build, but not sure if stock bore or overbore is better. I can't see the walls being so messed they'd have to be bored out beyond stock...

So I was cleaning my pistons off and I found this on #3. Same cylinder that I spun the round bearing on
I dont remember any of my valves looking unordinary but now I'm all paranoid
Gotta scrap together some piston money now though regardless
Btw that's a shitload of carbon buildup for only ~3k miles!

I think the contact happened when I disintegrated my rod bearing
I was definitely burning a shitload of oil though, all 4 pistons look like that
I must have been super tired when I posted this though because I forgot I had a different head on the car when this happened so my current valves should be fine.
Build is on pause until I get a new piston and I need new lower crankcase perimeter bolts. For some reason I didn't order them when I got the main girdle bolts.

Nah, I still need more bolts and at least one new piston
I'm considering getting all new pistons though because I'm unsure of the condition of the piston skirts on my current ones
