Need help again! S/C questions

UPDATE: Car will intermittenly idle perfectly fine, but not everytime, is this a bad throttle body?

I finally got my car driveable, but it still wont idle on its own, below is what ive done need some opinions;

1. Plugged the second hole on the bypass valve.
2. I re did the sensor in the intake manifold with a big peice of rubber for a gasket.
3. Ive check every single vacuum line, and dont hear any hissing.

My questions are;

1. Ive read some threads were people talk about buying new throttle bodies, but never explain why? Could this be my problem?

2. When putting on my intake manifold, i noticed there is a vacuum line port, i didnt trim the gasket for this, did i need to? I couldnt find anything on it.

What my car does when driving it;

1. When you start the car, it will idle between 600-1000 rpms it will jump 2-3 times then die. But if you hold the gas slighty it will not bounce and you can drive it around.

So I am lost here on what to do, please give me informative info, dont just make stuff up. I really need to get this car going so I can get to work, I really do not know what else to do.

** Also, if you have a vacuum diagram that I could go off to make sure everything is the way it should be that would be awesome!! **

Thanks in advance for all the help,

Andrew.

When I had funky Idle I had to clean my MAF. That is what solved the problem for me. My Injen Intake w/ K+N filter put some of the oily film in there I guess. Some people had that problem. Otherwise IDK man. Hope someone has a little more insight.

Could be from cold motor. Once it gets over 100* for me idle evens out and is fine.

The vacuum line on the intake you were talking about, was it between the intake and the head, and a brown plug on the intake side, if so, yes that needs to be open, its a PVC valve, so your not getting proper ventalation inside your engine,

So from reading a lot, it seems 2.2L with 60's always have idle problems? Is this whats happening to me? Really getting frustrated here.

Also brian, i read that on the 2.2's its not necessary to cut the gasket for the pvc, cause even if you do the holes dont match up.

Yeah, I didn't see that at first that you were a 2.2, I'm sorry, but yeah. Have you tuned yet,

So randomly the car started idling on its own, but it keeps going back and forth. Sometimes it will idle other times it wont, is this a tuning issue?

Yes, its more than likely the tuning, just work with your tuner and drive it carefully till he says your doing good and gets you a few revisions

evap is the thing to the right of your valve cover. has a vac line hooked up to your throttle body. try disconnecting the connector on the back

Mines doing the same thing. I'm running 60s and I'm on my base tune. Its in the tuning. Do you have an afr gauge? Mine bounces around at idle. When it starts to act up it richens to about 10-11 then it leans out and idles OK. Mine stalls when it drops to idle

Yes this is exactly what mine is doing and im on 60's and base map, im going crazy haha. If i drive it around for awhile it will idle but not every time. Then if the idle bounces it will stall, its driving me insane. I took my supercharger off and intake manifold put them back on and re torqued them thinking i didnt something wrong and it still does it.

Im so glad im not the only one no offense this makes me feel better.

I have an afr gauge its not hooked up yet, ill do that today. I was waiting for my pod.

What both of you need to do is get ahold of your tuner, and game them do a revision on your tune, your gonna need to drive it and log it, so ask them how you can so it,

No, I didn't say their problem was the tuner, they both said that their still running base map files, so that tells me that they haven't logged and gotten their tune revised, their tuner can't do anything if he don't have logs to see how the engine is reacting. So tell me how its the tuners fault again

Yea ive sent logs but we are still having a small vacuum leak, so im going to take everything off down to the block and reinstall the intake and supercharger to see if there is a leak there somewhere. So far the car is getting better. Was a bunch of smalls problems creating one big one. Vince is actually extrememly responsive and helpful.
