make sure number one piston is TDC. all dots line up. the crank gear should be in the 5 o-clock position with one colored chain link line up, and the intake cam gear should have an "I" line up with another colored link in the 1 o-clock position, then the exhaust cam gear marked with an "E" line up with another colored link in the 11 o-clock position

and all of the slack should be on the exhaust side, where the tensioner should be. best way to do this is once all lined up, take a socket and SLIGHTLY put tension on crank, this should pull slack out of between the gears. then pop the tensioner.

yeah we got it on TDC,then lined the triangle on pink(exhaust) and the diamond on blue(intake) and it wont fire.Got fuel,spark and injectors are pulsing.Gonna check compression tomorrow morning.Bleh.not a good day.
