Question about replacing my resonantor with a straight pipe on my GMPP exhaust??
i have the GMPP exhaust on my HHR and since our cars share the same platform and the exhaust is routed the same. how do you guys replace the resontor with a straight pipe? do you get it custom made or can you buy it somewhere ready to go??

you can just buy a stretch of pipe that is the same size/length. it will sound like complete ass though. but should be done fairly cheap, depending on how much it will cost to weld.

would sound raspy and not good at all! i doubt there would be any performance gains by doing so, as its a straight through design, not much restriction, wouldnt net much at all for hp wise on a SS/Sc let alone a HHR

i took mine off cuz somthing inside of it was rattling and with a straight pipe added was only 40 bucks alltogether but souded awful it sounded like a honda with no muffler with a huge wing...u get the picture...trust me and everyone else on this site and dont do it you wont regret it you can can different resonators tho that may sound better i have a cherry bomb glasspack as my resonator and sounds very good and deep trust me man dont straight pipe

I took out my resonator on my corsa sport cat-back because it was cracked on the inside and could hardly tell any difference at all. It will NOT sound like ****. if it does its because of a shitty muffler.
