Rattling noise

So my car started making a rattling noise today. I am assuming it is my heat shield for the exhaust. you cant hear it from under the hood, just when you are driving it. I was just wondering if anyone else had this problem and how they fixed it.

Mine is the rear heat shield. Not the one at the bottom of the header but the one under your driver side rear quarter panel. It is attached to the car.

Does it happen around low rpm. like 2-3k?

I had someone rev the engine while I crawled under it to try and pin point it. A lot easier to do with a hoist.

Open the door and rev it up and down, not too loud though. If you hear it coming from under you more than anything its probably where I talked about. It's a factory heat shield when the exhaust pipe goes over the rear axle.
