Relearning Crank Sensor Issues

So I have a 2008 Cobalt with the 2.2. I was having stalling issues and the tach would randomly fall to zero and set a Crank Sensor Code. Took it to my local dealer and they said they can't do it because the battery is bad. lol yea right. So I bought a VXDIAG VCX NANO Tech2Win device to learn the sensor myself. Odd part is, I load the software, go to 2008, go to J-Body vehicles, go to the Powertrain menu, and the biggest engine shown is a 2.0. But if I go under Pontiac, A-Body vehicles, go to the Powertrain menu, and it has the 2.2. so from there if I try to relearn the sensor, it communicates with the ECU, goes into the relearn state, says "Start and Idle Engine" and when I start the engine (with the hydraulic brake applied, parking brake applied, and maual trans in nuetral), it just continues sitting at that same screen and never allows me to relearn the sensor. Any help there would be amazing.

I also have an issue that if I go out and start the car to warm it up, it will lock itself with the keys inside. So I bought keyless entry remotes to program, and if I try to do it under the 2008 Chevrolet menu, still no option for 2.2, so if I try to use the 2.0 menu, only thing that shows is the ECU, no BCM. So if I use the 2008 Pontiac menu, I get the BCM, go to program the remotes, it says they're programmed, but they don't actually actuate the door locks.

PLEASE HELP ME!
