hptuners delete sai?
hey everyone, my car has secondary air injection and i want aftermarket exhaust headers. i was wondering if you could delete any trouble codes that come up after deleting the system using hptuners? i don't own hptuners yet but i plan on getting it in the near future and i don't want to order new headers if i cant pass emissions with the, and as long as the codes don't come up i should pass just fine since i'm in ct.

It's against the law, but so are a lot of things.

No, they can not see what DTC's are set to no error report or removed. As long as all your emissions monitors are readied and no codes are active or pending, you will be fine. There is no visual inspection in CT either, unless they are otherwise tipped off to do so.

awesome! also, while on the topic of emissions, do you need to have a muffler and resonator to pass emissions in our state? i have a catted downpipe, but i wasn't sure about muffler/resonators.

As long as you have a cat on the car you're good to go as far as that end of things goes. Again, that's even assuming they do a visual. I've never once had an issue with passing emissions with my car and I'm straight piped, on e47 with quite a few mods. It really all depends on the shop you go to ultimately.

i did it once with a friend of mines car. You have to make sure you get ALL of the codes there are a bunch of them. There are threads floating around out there on various cobalt forums as to what codes you need to turn off and the correct way to do so.
It was 2 years ago i did it and it was all on the fly so im sorry im not much help.
