Stabailizer Link Question
 

So I still have the crappy fe1 struts on my base model and dont have the funds to get the fe5 package from CED anytime soon. I want to upgrade to the moog fe5 endlinks though.

I understand they are a few inches shorter, so Im wondering will they work with my fe1 struts or no? I am also lowered on sport lines if that matters.

Also, if i get the shorter fe5 end links will i have to get an alignment?

i dont really think they will work. They might but not sure if i would chance it. Its a over 2" difference in length.

Moog should make a 9.6" and an 11.5" end link. The 11.5" is the one you want or your car will sit 1.5" higher on one corner. Found that out the hard way when the shop installing my sportline springs put the wrong one on at time of install, and as long as the end links are the same length as the ones coming off I wouldn't think alignment is necessary. Hope this info helps you.

As long as you don't disconnect the tie rod ends or the struts from the spindle you shouldn't need an alignment.

Yeah I know they make one thats longer. But I was wondering if the fe5 (the short ones) fit the fe1 strut. Since I am going to upgrade to fe5 struts/shocks sometime in the future. Just wondering if the fe5 end link will work with the fe1 strut for now

It should physically fit but it will effectively make your front sway much stiffer and that would throw off the front/rear stiffness ratio which should make for a bit of understeer
