patience and searching are your friends. Don't expect an answer within an hour of posting overnight, site isnt as active as it once was.
Yes Trifecta still does 2.2 tuning, you need to email them directly since its not listed on the site anymore.
(we really need to make this a sticky, since I feel like I answer this once a month or so)

Actually I contacted trifecta this weekend and this morning they said the don't offer tuning for 2.2 which I think is just wacko. What am I suppose to do now? Hp tuners never really was possible since there are none around me. how come you say yes but they say no?? Originally I went through BNR. They also said to contact trifecta and this is what trifecta told me

the L61 2.2 ONLY has Trifecta as an option. No other company spent the money to unlock it.
As of 2 months ago when I talked to Steve at Trifecta they were still tuning, but it was a "email in, we took it off our website since it so rarely asked for" I can reach out and see what I can find out, but no promises.

When i contacted Vince i was told that "support has ended for this platform" referring to the 2005/2006. Apparently it ended back around the beginning of the year.
Murphys law; i have a built 2.2 and a m62 that i cant install because i also cant get tuned.

I'm currently in the same ball-game. I was one of the first customers Vince had way back in 2008 when it was popular. I too have a 2006 cobalt 2.2. I recently did a support request on trifectas website just to see if they had any new tweaks for my car and that's when I was told they no longer support the 2006 platforms. Which is fine I guess since my car is 10 years old now. It runs fine and everything but the .TRT files that were compatible with our cars only work with the older software. The new software will only read the newer format files in .TRTX. I was somewhat disappointed but in the midst of things it is understandable if u think about it. Technology has changed quite a bit in the past 10 years. Fortunately, I was able to get my car tuned perfectly way back in 2012 and has ran perfect ever since. So in so many words if you own an 06' or older your pretty much out of luck.

Yeah, buying a complete m62 take off and every cooling add-on then having a motor built with forged internal (~$4000+), etc just to find out that i can`t get it tuned anymore was an expensive lesson.
I guess it goes to show not to buy tuning for a vehicle that only has a single tuner available that only tunes remotely. If it was at least on an open platform I could take in locally to get tuned. Cadillacs and Camaros are more profitable it seems.
If I didn't have to deal with emission checks every two years I would have done the same.
