tune

ok i am going to eventually tune my car...yea its on the list at the end after i install the turbo ok haha i am excited but i know that trifecta is the only tuning source...here is my situation...i can dyno for 60 bucks an hour because of a friend that works there...can they just tune it at the dyno with there equipment or does trifecta have to do stuff also... this is my last problem and i was wondering what the steps were in tuning this headache in detail so i dont miss ANything haha thanks guys and maybe a girl 2

I'd contact Trifecta or one of it's authorized dealers.

so u saying that trifecta is the only tune it no big deal i just dont wanna run into any problems ya know

warrenb213 Apr 27, 2009 01:20 PM

you won't. in fact you could have e-mail exchanges with vince the day you get the tuning unit and go to the dyno. with the e-mail exchanges you could e-dyno tune your vehicle. lol only diff is trifecta wouldn't be there to see it first hand. i've heard of this kinda situation previously, just dunno if they still do this.

ya, just set it up with vince to be avail when you do the dynoing and make sure the dyno shop has a computer you can send emails back and forth with. you will dyno with the tune, data log, and send him the logs, he will tweak it and email them back and you upload and try again...continue until he is sataisfied with all your numbers and your good to go

hugemurph4 Apr 27, 2009 03:56 PM

oh thats pretty nifty so he basically works with the dyno shop people to tune my car how long does this take...usually...so i pay for the 275 for the tune then the dyno time...Correct?

Why, i mean for max power a dyno tune will be better, but you don't drive your car on a dyno do you,lol... In my opinion, the idea of a tune based on how you actually drive your car is gonna be MUCH better for a daily driven car. The number one benifit to a dyno is that you have actual numbers to see if the changes and modifications you made increase or decrease the power numbers. But you got your wow factor dyno built into the drivers seat, lol....
