Tvs1320 l61?

I'm close to sealing the deal on a used harrop TVS1320 and was wondering if anyone here with an L61 is running one and what your thoughts are.

yes i run one with vx220
makes around 350 constant hp but does suffer with heat issues probably because of the engine being in the rear

it has made 380 hp peak power WITH COOL INLET TEMPS
running a 3.1 pulley

What heat exchangers are you 2 running?

I am only really shooting for around 300 whp when I get built. I wouldn't think I would have heat problems running it that easy? Is there a bigger pulley available for it?

Am I crazy to think I can run this de-tuned (highly retarded timing) before I go built?

I have been a long time customer with Trifecta. I have already spoke with them to make sure they would get me running right again. When did this become a thing?

You can swap to an 07 2.2 harness and PCM.

you have to swap the head too

everyone says "yeah you can do this"

theoretically it will work but ive never seen it done.

I know i could do it but it comes down to trial and error when little **** goes wrong because no one will be able to help you. I have an LE5 swapped into my l61 car, but it was originally 07. It's looking like my best bet is going to be going built and installing TVS all in one shot. It is going to hurt the bank but I would rather do that then have to fool around with swapping ECMs if I can get away with it.

To build the bottom end do I need any special tools or fabrication? Is it easiest just to go stock bore? Do I just swap the parts out or is it more involved than that?

What all do I need?
-Valve springs
-Head studs?
-Con rods
-Pistons

Anything else?

if you dont have experience building an engine id say have a machine shop do it.

well definitely do a lot of research on what you need and what it takes before jumping into it. look through that thread i posted, maybe take a class at community college.

I'm not understanding what you mean here. How does building the engine remove the need to swap ecm? or am I misunderstanding what you mean?

I saw in your other thread that you are currently m62. Did trifecta originally tune you? You may be able to talk them into re-tuning, but that would be the first step. You are dead in the water without lining up a tune or exploring ecu swap/standalone options
