2.2L ZZP supercharger install

Hey, so I was thinking about buying a supercharger kit from ZZP and was wondering if it would be a good purchase. I have a 2010 LT. Anything you could tell me about it is great. Just maybe what I need to look out for while installing and also about tuning. I think I could install it myself pretty easy but im not sure about the tuning haven't researched that part yet. Thanks

Save your money and piece together your own kit.

WE offer a tune for the LAP so it would be a complete kit.
Those that piece together them own end up with used parts, no warranty, inferior performance and lots of little stuff to shop for because they never understand what they completely need.

3k is pretty steep for an m62 kit. You should just piece it together like the other member said. Youll save alot of money in the long run and there is alot of threads on here to help you along the way. And you can just buy a zzp pcm thats flashed with the tune you need.

3k is a steal for a new SC kit in any market but this one.
That being said the ZZP SC kit is more like 2k. IDK who's selling one for 3.

And the most expensive part is replacing your motor when you build your own kit based on the M62 and the motor blows up.

There are plenty of guys on here that piece together a kit for half that price and have no issues.

I spent 800 on a complete stage 3 kit and my car didn't blow up and it doesn't have inferior performance. Lol

WE answer a few hundred emails daily. In those, there is not a day that goes by of 1. People asking us what they still need or how to fix some something in piece meal M62 kit. and 2. People who have blown up. Blowing up comes in several factors with all variants of Ecotec but in the 2.2 it's especially prevalent with those that boost the cars.

Further many people don't know they have issues whether it be tuning or leaking manifold. The LSJ intakes do have a limited life before they leak.

So essentially some of the debate is me saying that a new car is reliable and nice with others saying that it's cheaper to buy a used one that needs some parts, find those parts and fix it and then drive it. Then saying that since their 10 year old car is working just fine; it's clearly comparable to a new one and cheaper. well, ok.

If you could point me to where she said it was clearly comparable, that would be great. I can see the point you are trying to make but just because someone uses used parts doesnt mean their car is gonna automatically gonna blow up. OP do what you want. You can spent almost $2500 on a new m62 kit or piece a kit together and save $1500 bucks and still function properly. /Thread

Mongorat sells complete kits for around 800. Very credible.
