2009CobaltLT's 2.2LAP SC Build Thread

Well, I figured I'd jump on the bandwagon and start a build thread so people can answer all of my questions, as I am sure I will have a lot.

Got my SC kit in the mail yesterday and now I'm even more pumped to get this all installed. First little bit is going to be cleaning and painting the parts, but I will be posting pics as I go. I am definitely going to need help identifying which bolts go where, as I got them all in a plastic bin for the most part.

Any idea what hub this is?

Think I'm gonna get ZZP S3, might run 2 HE's, still deciding

Any thoughts what injectors/size these are?

Is that the correct core setup for dual pass?

Usable, but probably gonna grab ZZP's dual pass instead

After a little closer look it appears that the injectors are "Deka" brand. Any way to check the flow rate?

More than likely those are 60 lb injectors.

The hub is too hard to tell.

I run only ZZPs S3 and it works perfectly.

That is correct setup for dual pass.

So it turns out there is a light coat of a bluish paint on the intake mani, came right off when cleaning it with carb cleaner. Anyone have any tips on cleaning this stuff? It's kind of a pain in the ass lol

Get some paint stripper. I used Mar Hyde Tal Strip before and it will wrinkle paint off in less than 2 minutes. Then just spray it off with a hose. Don't get that **** on your skin though it will burn you.

that hub looks like the zzp hub, I think I have either a 2.8 or 2.9 that will fit that hub, brand new in the package I believe, hell it might even be a 2.7, I'll have to look when i get home

Thanks, I totally agree. Hopefully I can get some LEDs swapped into my gauge cluster to match the Defi gauges. I still want to get the SS gauge cluster though, just cant seem to find one for the 08+

Just rustoleum high temp engine paint, good to 500 degrees. Used the same stuff on my valve cover last year and it's held up fine
