Can I use another Cobalt ECU?

This may be a silly question, but im looking at getting the zzp tune for my 2010 cobalt 2.2 5 speed in the very near future. I dont want to spend the money for the hptuner, and I'd rather not go a week or more without my car sending my ecu away. I have a 2006 cobalt auto as a parts car, would that ecu work in my 2010 5 speed until I get the tuned ecu back? Im a noob in this regard, so I apologize if this is a silly question. Thanks.

You could go to the junkyard and get an ecu from a 2009 or 2010 cobalt like yours and send it to them

I recently used these guys and they are great. They set the ECU up to your VIN and all you have to do is a security relearn to get it to work. You just need the part number on your ECU and your VIN.

No worries, just trying to keep the confusion down for others and those that Google issues.
