head swap on LAP

anyone swap heads on the LAP from any of the other motors? some people have told me that the LSJ heads might work but just wondering because looking to build and cam my motor sometime in the future and wonder if swapping heads could help me achieve this. would swapping to a L61 head be easier than the LSJ? thanks guys

The L61 and LSJ heads are both very different from the LAP...they both do not have VVT, so no spots for cam actuators.

ZZP has LE5 cams available. I see no reason they wouldn't fit an LAP.

i know, id be getting rid of vvt in the tune. ive been asking around and people are telling me that most likely a l61 head head from a genII is my best bet, mechanically. still have to talk to people about the tuning

Why not keep youre head and get it ported and tune the VVT?

Because I heard the VVT is hard to tune and I'm not sure anyone unlocked the phasers yet

VVT is not hard to tune. My local tuner is even able to tune and he own's an LSJ and mainly worked on LSJ's. He used VVT to get my buddies 2.2 with bolt on's to stay side by side with my stock LSJ at the time.
