Header Swap Question

Will a 2006 2.4 header/exhaust manifold bolt onto my 2009 2.2 LAP?

Thanks!

chevygirl2006 10-12-2011 04:35 PM

the 2.4 isnt lsj lol

DavidLaMattina 10-12-2011 04:36 PM

Ok, well the 2.4 ... whatever it is!

riceburner 10-12-2011 04:38 PM

the real question is if my lsj header fits ur 2.2 haha

DavidLaMattina 10-12-2011 04:39 PM

That too! - Anyone?!

chevygirl2006 10-12-2011 04:40 PM

im pretty sure both will fit lol

nhanson 10-12-2011 04:44 PM

both fit.

ItalianJoe1 10-12-2011 04:46 PM

It will physically bolt on, sure. I believe the 2.2's like yours don't have an O2 sensor in the manifold, so you would need to get a plug to put in the other manifold.

chevygirl2006 10-12-2011 04:47 PM

see.told ya

cleanxfe 10-12-2011 07:05 PM

2006 manifold is a downgrade for the lap! lsj or gmpp extrude honed is the way to go

chevygirl2006 10-12-2011 07:08 PM

we r talking about the header

DavidLaMattina 10-12-2011 11:22 PM

I'm going back to stock fella's - I already have the badmab shorty header with a ZZP downpipe and a custom 2.5" catback... but I am going back to stock so I need any kind of header that will fit it doesnt really matter... as long as its not aftermarket. - So thanks anyway for the remarks! :thumbsdow

Yeah seriously... I've run into a lot of them on here. I've always tried to help people without any kind of judgment as to what their doing - to each their own!

You haven't been here long enough, you wouldn't understand. All these questions have been answered 5 times over. I went through that angry phase where it's not fun to help noobs that won't search or read, but honestly it's quicker to just answer your question, like I did, and leave it at that.

Most of the people that are such assholes here are ones that came in and got treated like shit because they asked stupid questions without doing thier research either. So they pass it on to others. Best bet is to just ignore it, learn which ones of us that are still here are actually helpful and get the info you need.

Most importantly, use the search function. I guarantee in a couple minutes I could easily answer your questions by looking up existing threads. 100% of the time.

I did use the search function for this question actually, and came up with nothing.

I just recently heard the LAP exhaust manifold is similar to the LSJ. Is this true?

My 1st Post: Some folks(me) are not good enough at navigating around on the computer to access all that. This site is still growing on me. There is also a lot of disagreement between posters, so it is hard for me to figure out what the correct final answer is. I have been reading vigorously, trying not to bother anyone, but good manners goes a long way.

Validater 12-24-2011 03:19 AM

Yes they should all fit, as the badmab header fits the lsj, l61, lap, and le5. so the only difference would be a O2 bung that may or may not need to be sealed.

And the search bar kinda sucks, it can be ok. but the fastest search is typing what I'm looking for into Google and adding cobaltss on the end of the search, works 100%
