A little FYI for you

Motor blow up? or just thinking about building it?

Well I have a simple and cheaper solution for you!

Buy a LE5 and swap it in! I would make sure you buy 06-07 year for the forged internals.

Both motors are VVT and have all the same sensors!

With a little tuning (VVT tables have to be copied over for the LE5) youre on your way!

I actually ran my 2.2 tune for a while.

Way ahead of you on that one, 300 + WHP here I come. Now whether to push it or not is the question since I'll be on a EFR 6758 I could probably hit 450...

You can't swap it and have to build your L61

For lower miles than I have on my motor an being an 06 (yay forged) I'm going to pick one up for about $600.

andrew i think there was a guy that swapped in the LE5 in place of his L61. I'll see if I can find the thread.

There is but he did other stuff too. I think he ended up adding to the wiring harness as well as switching to the other ECU.

The LAP is plug and play.
