Actually, for the LAP engine, they do have the 08 and up LE5 intake manifold. That is where the extra HP came in 09 for the 2.2.

I'm just curious why you would say there is no benefit replacing our header with an aftermarket one, only the LSJ.

^he is correct. Of course larger aftermarket is going to be nice, but none of the others are going to give you a performance increase other than the LSJ. That is all I was saying

ahh makes sense now, lol.

If anyone comes across a no name intake on ebay for a 2.2 please let me know, for whatever reason I cannot seem to find any.

Don't buy ebay crap ! ha ha. most likely you'll throw a cel. just get the injen cai. I love mine so much i bought it for my malibu and now it's on my balt, best damn intake I've ever had. no codes, and you can actually feel the difference.

There is going to be hardly any difference between a $300 vs. $80 intake. Just scrap the shitty filter and buy a K&N or AEM Dry Flow filter. You're going to gain what, 1-3hp for $300 spent...
