Supercharged 2009 G5

I was going to do a turbo build, but decided it be easier to get tuned if I did a supercharger build. I have everything I need already except injector harness. I got one off an lsj but the connector from the lap harbess to injector harness is different than the lsj harness. I would have to cut up both injector harness to make one. I was wondering if anyone has used injector connector adaptors, and if they would work good. I dont wanna ruin my harness if I wanna go back to stock. thats the only thing I need to figure out before I get started taking my car apart. ill post pics of everything I have soon and of the tear down and video of it running.

so excited I can't wait! lol

You cant pull the pins from the original connectors and install the lsj on yours?

I was going to do the same but mine is a L61 soon to have a m62 bolted on :) cant wait either!

Ebay has some ev1 connectors that you can buy and splice on

Crav3 04-01-2014 02:32 AM

Yea well I plane on splicing them and soldering the lsj connectors on. But what I meant was that the harness to harness connector is way different. And I dis not want to splice just in case I wanna go back to stock and sell the car.

I did see some ev6 to ev1 adapters but idk if they would work or if they are safe. I read mustangs and camaros run them though.

Some thing like these

If you ever go back to stock just splice the old connectors in and put some tape over it and they will never know ;)

Haha true -_-

I just need the wideband and tune and ill be ready to get it installed. I had a friend tell me I had to get my pcm flashed by gm before flashing my tune. Is that true? Supposedly if I dont, ill fry my pcm.

Thanks. I knew he was wrong, just had to double check. I will disconnect my battery to avoid causing a short or anything of that sort as a precaution.

Gonna start prepping everything for the install friday after I order aem wideband and tune

Dipstick broke while trying to remove it, will have to remove oil pan tomorrow to get the piece out.(oil change will be done of course lol) removing alt, tensioner tomorrow morning. Then to install lsj alt, tensioner, and idler pulley. Hopefully will have supercharger on by tomorrow night and running.

Here are some pics..

Already got everything installed. The belt is a bitch to put on. Had to grind some of my alternator because the tensioner didn't go down all the way. Finally got it on right now and tomorrow gotta figure out how to mount the heat exchanger. It's the stock lsj HE. After that I will wire the pump, figure out the tb vacuum line, and should be ready to flash the tune, and hopefully it will start :/

It is not as easy as people say it is to do lol. But I guess it's because of the problems I ran into.

Crav3 04-24-2014 12:31 AM

It started!! Sounds amzing and even changed the way my exhaust sounds.Drove it around and dam this thing pulls hard. Need new tires lol. Will post pictures tomorrow and maybe get a video or two. Not that anyone has been checking on my thread, but aleast so lap owners looking to supercharge their LAP can know what to expect

We're reading just not commenting. I'm skipping the SC game and going strait to a turbo though.

sandman 04-24-2014 02:12 PM

Last pictures of the install and final product :p

The car if fun to drive even with the base tune, but going through gas like a v8 though. Or maybe I just have a heavy foot lol. wanna start datalogging but haven't installed my wideband and dont have the pillar to put the gauge in.

It does spin like crazy but I have two kills already haha . Svt focus and a chevy Silverado I was ignoring but kept insisting on running me. Beat the truck by about four, five cars lol. Focus was from going 60 on the highway and I pulled away like nothing. I'm liking the boosted life :)

rains_crusader 04-25-2014 10:39 PM

nice!

Pitbull2o08 04-25-2014 11:08 PM

Where's base tune from?

Crav3 04-25-2014 11:35 PM

Thanks, and I got the tune from trifecta, they came through quicker than I expected. Now I need to log so they can refine the tune

BlueBalt1113 04-26-2014 12:21 AM
