I dropped my G5 off last night at the dealer to have the 70K service done to it. I called today to see how things where going and they tell me they have no record of changing the fuel filter on it. I told them it was never done and how much would it be for them to put one on while its there. The guy tells the filter is $92 and to have it put on it will be $155. so i told him to forget about it to just rotate the tires check the belt and give it a once over. Is that the real price for a fuel filter. my cavalier its $10 and it looks just like the one on the G5.

 

Cost me $15 at Autozone and 5 minutes to change...

 

With a fuel line disconnect tool, the filter is a simple job. I don't know what kind of drugs that service writer is on.

haha i told them not to change it, i new that could not be right. ill go to auto zone and get a filter then and do it myself.
