i know of several people that have done it without issue. i know your not supposed to download a tune and "write calibration" with it due to possible incompatibility between the values and the operating system. however when you "write entire" the ecm essentially gets erased clean and the entire operating system gets written to the new ecm. obviously you need to make sure what your doing is compatible with the ecm, but in this case i cant see it being a big issue.

ive done it once myself with an e67 crate engine ecm, i had to make it communicate with a t43 trans controller in a 6l80, so i wrote an entire tune from a ctsv to the e67/t43 and it worked flawless. friend of mine did it on his 0411 ecm to change it from a gen 3 to a vortec operating system.

Starting to enjoy the fruit of all that work

Time to post something positive.

First outing with the family after the conversion. We went to Harding Lake, Alaska. A Beautiful day!!!

Supercharged a 2007 2.4l LE5 GM engine from salvage yard. Converted my SeaArk 2272 MV from outboard to inboard.
Scott 752 with 19/19 impellers, 111 trim nozzle. (love that trim for leveling out and getting rid of porpoising)

Made 39.5mph (reproducible on GPS) at 4,700 rpm. Not bad for a tune that isn't finished yet and a rough guestimate on pump setup.

Man that supercharger whines when going over 3,500rpm.

I'll try to post the rest of my build when I get time. I have been too consumed on getting this project done.

No, just a better tuning job. I've tried both MAF and without and didn't see much difference. I wasn't there to tune so didn't log very much.

EDIT:
I looked at the logs and MAF reading didn't move so that would explain that there isn't a difference. I does register that it's connected. I'll have to take a look later.

Done For the Season

With Moose hunting in a few weeks and cold coming soon after I'm done with the project for the year. I still need to work out some things but I got it working well for the most part and no working sensor input. With going out to very remote locations it's nice to know it still runs without much.

Here's a video.

Thank you all for so much help. It's pretty amazing I can pull off this kind of project without local support. It couldn't have been done without the gracious support of people like you.
