Boosted 08 LE5s

Where yall at I gotta question.

I have the 08 2.4 with an auto tranny and my internals AREN'T forged like the 06-07's are apparently and im wondering how much boost is safe/ yall running on stock internals.

I'm still on a stock pulley @ 6ish psi. my IAT2's dont get about 120 at WOT doing 110+ mph.

I want to drop to 2.9 so i figured that would bump the boost up to around 10-12psi but my motor is already high compression and dont want it to blow obviously.

Thanks in advanced.

I've always read to keep boost under 12-13 psi on a stock LE5. A 2.8" pulley will put you between 11-12 psi depending on elevation.

I see your on meth as well tho.. keeping your temps down. and i just saw your post up top and i live in FL so lots of oxygen lol plus right now i have a shorty header and 2.5 catted but i want to run the midlength with 1.75" primaries as well.

what are your IAT2's?

does a more flowing exhaust knock the boost down a little?

you'll be fine with 2.9 pulley
its all in the tune

my 06 has 85K miles, over 40K boosted
I daily it on 2.6" tvs pulley, 20-22psi.

My IATs climb to roughly 113* then start to cool off at the end of my pulls and get down to 105-109 range. I've never been boosted on stock exhaust so I'm not sure.

On a stock pulley I made around 7-8 psi with stock car back and ZZP header and downpipe.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/b6inf2ghf3...30645.mp4?dl=0. If anyone watches that I don't get on it till 27secs

This was from the other night. My iat2 were 111° @120mph and I have a 2.5 full exhaust

And my gauge only reads about 5-6 but my app(computer) says 8-9. and same at idle is 3psi difference. So idk which is right

At idle you should be around 18-21 inches of vacuum depending on elevation.

So got my hands on a 06-07 LE5 and I want to go turbo now.. While its out should I throw some rods in it + pistions. I'm wanting to run the bullseye 256 maybe ported head and intake mani with full 3in exhaust.

Anyone have a similar set up?

I'm on a s252et on 12 psi and e85. The 06 can take a hell of a beating.
