half 112 octane and half 92 octane

Im thinking about trying this next time I go to the race track. What do youthink? I mght call up Vince and see if he can tune my car for the higher octane. Just to get the most out of it.

Thats Im thinking. How much of an improvement do you think Id et? I havent seen anyone run it here. At least from reading up on all the octane stuff.

not much. there is no real necessity for a pretty much stock 2.4 to use race gas

I don't think it would do much even if you did get it tuned. Nothing on that engine would need such a high octane.

So youre gonna put well over $100 worth of fuel into your nearly stock 2.4 ?

Hmmmmm well first off that would pay for probably 4 tanks of regular fuel

Secondly no way in bloody ******* hell does your car need anymore than 92 octane, let alone 1/2 92 1/2 112

moving on lets address the fact that putting 112 leaded race fuel in your car is illegal.

And of course the potential damage to your O2 sensors and cat.

Just get a tune and stick with 92.
