considering all the wonderful luck I have been having (not to mention costs) with the car times up and the final torque downs to be done, the shop blows their torque wrench, damn place is closed tommorro and Im peeved beyond belief,I even took an extra day off of work today so I could get out and drive it to give you members my first impression, soory to all but you bennyhhr, this is not your car that got fucked up,if you don't like what Im having to go through than go find an HHR forum to post on,

people wonder why the hell it is i stay away from the hhr forum's, then you have this guy attacking a Senior member. He is pioneering something for the ecotec not just the cobalt. I thank you for adopting me cobaltss.net

Folks, I owe everyone a sincere apology. The previous post was not intended to flame or criticize anyone. Please, let me clarify....

I've been following this thread from the beginning with interest. Maybe the word "fiasco" was the wrong choice without explaining what I meant.

For Colt Cams, who developed these cams (I've spoken with Geoff there), it seems they have a great idea for the 2.4 Ecotec. Mev at JBP is hoping they're successful for them to market, too. Mike, brave soul that he is, has surely been frustrated with what has happened, as are everyone following this saga.

Mike, I feel for ya man. What started out as a good deal on some new cam technology for the LE5 has obviously turned out to be somewhat of a fiasco in how it has hit your wallet and tried your patience. I really hope that in the end you can look back and say it was really worth all your troubles and cost.

UpOnGaMe, I started looking elsewhere for some intelligent info for tuning my HHR and this forum was both entertaining and informative. On the HHR forums, there is a certain vendor who has a way with words, but little real knowledge when it comes to tuning. He has stated that our common Ecotecs like backpressure in the exhaust and hot air from the intake to run right. I've done testing and numerous dyno runs that prove that BS as wrong. If anyone questions him he will put them down with condecending remarks. Most of the knowledgeable people there have given up on that forum.

So...., again I apologize to you Cobalt folks, especially Mike, if my earlier post was taken wrong and hope to hang around some with ya'll.

Your apology seems fair enough. When in doubt about how remarks may be received by others, the smilies go along way to disarming peoples reaction.
