JBP is gonna have to help you out man. Their cams are getting F*ED, and it's not your fault. I for sure WILL NOT buy their cams after this whole ordeal you are going through. Especially since they haven't said a peep about the cams for a LONG TIME.
I feel for ya man.

Okay lets be clear here. I like Mike and he is a friend. At the same time JBP has not been informed of anything about Mike's cams since the first inexperienced attempt to install the cams. As far as JBP being on here, this thread is how many pages long, 35? JBP has a lot on their plate right now because I keep pushing them to focus on my project. There is not enough time in a day to go through everything on this site for any supporting vendor.

Damn you G5mike and 8cd03gro, your boxes are full!! Go delete some of that **** and make room for better sh*t!
basically the message is the same to both:
"Hey man,
Figured youd like to see the excel program I wrote on turbo math. Basically, you enter the outside temp, the boost your running, stroke, bore, and the rest is automatically calculated. It tells you how much air you flow in cfm and lb/min at what rpm in and out of boost at different levels. Im still toying with it, but I think the math is tiresome to do over and over again, so heres a program for it
Im waiting on a mod to approve my thread for a how to and show me how to upload an excel file so people can access it. I finally figured out what i want to do with this car and what turbo/parts im using. Sooo much cheaper to piece out my own kit."
Bastards. Make me retype things several times until I get so frustrated at my computer it smacks the wall... then Im forced to post it so at least someone sees it. But yeah, figured G5 boy might find it useful. just need your email, unless someone can tell me how to post an microsoft excel spreadsheet file/upload/link/wtf

There is no way right now for any of us to calculate VE on this motor. You need access to the VVT parameters... which we don't have in either HPT or LS2Edit.
You will never be totally accurate with simple equations anyway, it is just a very good estimation. There are alot more factors involved than you can possibly take into account with excel.
True. But with tuning, you can usually come up with an equation to get your numbers close. That's when you take it out on the road for some fine tuning. This one won't work though even with getting you close. It sucks, but that's how it is for now. Trust me, we've spent hours upon hours trying to figure it out... and that's with three different engineers working on it together.
Hehe, well Im not stupid or naive enough to think i could possibly be dead on. BUT it does come close enough to work on a compressor graph and get an idea of whats going on. Like I said, it's VERY basic, and its the same calculations anyone would have to do to figure out where to plot on a graph. It just minimizes the time it takes to get that information by calculating for you. I didn't say it was all-knowing, but it is a good helper.

well, we don't really have decisive results from these yet, but a 10-15fwhp gain is good, and i'd be happy with that if i were you. With the cams it will be a broad gain, so you will feel a difference all the way through. If i were messing with cams, i would get my head ported and pollished if i were you. You can have it done by a machine shop for fairly cheap, or you can get it done by an engine builder and get valve work, springs, etc. so your valvetrain is just indestructable. With p&p head + cams, i'd say you could see 20-25fwhp pretty easily, but that's still just speculation, could be more could be less.
I don't intend to threadjack... but it seems the OP isn't around anymore anyway.
You can get stock cams reground through a few different places. You might be better off going that route since it seems safe to assume by now that these cams were a complete dud.
