JBP VVT LE5 Camshafts
Mike, if the shop your dealing with has any concerns or questions about timing feel free to have them call me.
Let me know if you need parts. If you are going to wait 2 weeks for parts to come from michigan, I can next day air them as I have pretty much everything to do a head swap in stock.

Gee, sorry for the bad news, Mike. But there's an upside.
If the head has to come off and at least a couple valves are out anyway, it sounds like time for some primo valve springs so you can bump up the rpm safely! It's much cheaper to do it now than later. Maybe JBP will make you a great price on some springs so you can test and eval. both products together.
Maybe even a mild port and Polish while you're at it.
What do you say guys?
Come on, you know you want it!

before you're talking about bent valves, are the 2.4s intereference or non-interference engines when you have the JBP cams in em? cause thats something to consider before going on a fact finding mission and taking the head off.

Mike...go punch your buddy..

Mike is our tester and mentioned that he had someone "competant" to do the install. We did offer full instructions for install.
At any rate, we include with our camshafts an outline the tools necessary for the install, how long it should take a competant mechanic/shop to perform the install and Pack up their cams and to take it to a competant license mechanic or performance shop. We DONT want customers who have an "idea" of what to do, to do the installation of cams.. Take it to the pros', to avoid exactly what Mike is going through...

I wasn't implying that you didn't offer install instructions, but I am glad to see that you did!! Also that you rent the valve spring tool is exxcellent
