cant really see gm using a forged crank in the 2.4l

They are cast for sure but still hold anything most would throw at it

I thought 2006 was forged crank and rods in the LE5. Wasn't sure if this was the ideal 600 hp crankshaft, but sounds like the cast crankshaft isn't something to be concerned with.

Only 2.0s had forged cranks but you wont break a cast one
