Megan Exhaust?
I'm looking around at some exhausts and kinda like the Megan Exhaust. But I cant find anywhere that can confirm that it will fit on a 2.4L. Does anyone know if the Megan Exhaust will for sure fit a 2.4L cobalt? And if there are any other good exhaust systems in about the same price range of the Megan Exhaust? thanks

it will fit. but forget it. get a zzp 2.5 inch exhaust for about 100$ more. the tone will be much better, and it wont be as loud. i had megan for 3 years and ill never have an exhaust that loud again.
if i were you, i would keep the stock exhaust and either get a shorty header, or a stock lsj header ported by italianjoe on here, and a zzp 2.5 inch dp and bolt it up to the stock exhaust. itll pick up some attractive tone and never be annoying. the stock catback isnt much of a restriction. especially not for a 2.4

Yeah I hAve the Megan racing exhaust and the muffle sounds like poop at high rpms. So I put a magnaflow muffler on and sounds way better. Sounds mean as f*** but real loud and has a drone sound inside the car when driving. Luckily I was able to get a Gmpp exhaust. But yeah go zzp for sure, cheap is always good,

DANG $280 that's pretty good. But what do you mean by a few fitment issues? Does it not just bolt right on?

The size of the resonator causes it to touch the heat shield under the center of the car (which i have to remove sometime next week) and the muffler didnt align right on the back of the car, wound up hitting the rear bumper which required some ingenious thinking with the rear muffler mounts. There is a thread about it in this forum maybe on the first or second page.
