Why would anyone put a 2.25 magnaflow on our 2.4L?

I might go with a 2.5 magnaflow

I have not yet decided on an exhaust but I have CAI and am currently in the process of swapping out stock header/dp for a Vibrant midlength setup. I am in no doubt that I will be needing a tune after messing with the headers (as I have read in another thread), but I'm not sure since the wait on the exhaust if there will be drive-ability in the meantime, without a tune. Reason for this is I am still in search of a place to have it tuned out.

If you have an auto trans right now its not easy. Between the trans, mounts and labor it would be better to trade it in for a manual trans than attempt a swap.

Very helpful. Thanks for posting. Anybody got tips on using the HP Tuners software and is a special cable required?

Regarding intake, what about ZZP's high flow intake tube and the K&N drop in?

Get the Pro version with inputs, so you can log wideband and any other 0-5v signal like oil and fuel pressures.

Tuning 101 video series shows HPT/GM basic examples:

Help with stock SS

Hi, I have a stock 2007 SS with a 2.4 Liter. Only has 120k miles. I have some electrical issues and some sensors that I want to fix. Also what are some quick mods I can do? I like the car a lot, handles well and is good quality for the year.

Yeah, there are a couple codes. I have the abs light that stays on, I'll have to get it scanned again. I also had to put in a bypass switch for the headlights, they would stay on if I didn't take the fuses out and drain the battery.

Right when I bought it, but haven't been driving it.

Check fuses and if wiring are disconnected.
It might be a money pit if you are not sure what are you looking for. How much you pay for the car if you don't mind asking.

lcoop04 06-06-2023 05:48 PM

bro, I only paid 1200 for it. lol. dude thought it had a tranny problem, but I know its the sensors. Hard shifts at first gear but thats a common problem with the sensors that need to be replaced.
