Haha thanks. Garage is packed full of cars and parts and the living room seems like a much cleaner place to build an engine.

So you put it back together with the bent rod? Nice

That sucks when something stupid like a boost controller line costs you an engine. But that's the game we play.

Yeah i bought H beams but they didnt fit stock pistons so next go around will be forged pistons and rods and built head. I need the car to get me around for the summer and didnt have the money or time to wait for forged pistons to be made.

And yes. This horrible addicting game we play lol. I have the worst luck with stupid ****.

Bummer dude, I will say reading this tho got me to be extra careful with my MBC. Got those Zip ties on there as tight as I could.

So it's possible to run the motor with a bent rod?

It's totally possible, just depends on how bent the rod is. A slight bend you only lower the compression ratio

Its definitely not a long term solution. It can lead to the piston or cylinder wall being worn in weird ways.

Well at least it can get you around for a little while. Hope you can get some new rods in there soon!

How did you route the vacuum lines for use with boost controller? Also what spark plugs are you using?

The vac lines go from the compressor housing to the controller and then to the bottom port on the wastegate. Im using LFR7A plugs.
