Well I .......

Just bought my Ingen intake, Cobalt Addiction shorty header, and XTC 2.5 down pipe with no cat. Next week I am hoping to get my exhaust done, and also buy my Eibach's. I am hoping with all these and my HP tune I can break into the 14's. :D

DarkSergeant 06-09-2007 10:33 PM

Very nice. To be honest I'm incredinly excited about this big news from Hahn - but at the same time I am nervous about losing the warranty... it is a GM for God's sake.

In my advantage, I'll like be able to pay off the car and buy the turbo kit here in about 9 months, I figure if the car is paid for and I have a major problem I'll be able to afford to fix it..

WhiteSSBalt 06-09-2007 10:52 PM

sweet. I have the CA header and the XTC 2.5" de-cat downpipe on my SS. It works well, but the downpipe sounds somewhat airey for some reason.........kinda annoying b/c it makes you think your exhaust is always leaking. I've heard ZZP's downpipe does the same thing though too........hmmm....

Also, that downpipe is gonna make your car throw mad CEL's. My car runs like ass right now, but once I get it tuned w/ HP Tuners and throw on the SS/SC injectors this Thur, she 'oughta be back with a bang!

elecblue06 06-09-2007 11:06 PM

why in the world did my post on this thread get deleted
??

hmm scratch that i posted on the ion forums version of this thread
lol posting >me

REDFOCZ 06-09-2007 11:07 PM

Yeah I already got the HP Tuners no worry there. I am just anxious<--(sp) to get the parts now.

rlinden86 06-13-2007 02:01 PM

Imlikedrpepper 06-13-2007 02:07 PM

I ran a 15.001 with my mods. Intake and vector tune at 8000 miles on the car. I don't see why he can't get 14s.

rlinden86 06-13-2007 02:23 PM

well im running at best 14.8, il have to go try it again. but il wait till turbo lol.

No you're not. You're running an 1/8th mile time and then using ricer-conversion to estimate a 1/4 mile time. Totally inaccurate.

red2006SS 06-13-2007 04:15 PM

i think he can do it and good luck with it i hope you get into the 14's i put down 15.2 in 1/4 with just the air box mod basically.

REDFOCZ 06-14-2007 07:55 AM

Thanks, looks like everthing will be here today, so the install will be this weekend:cssNET:

elecblue06 06-14-2007 01:29 PM

if people are hitting 15 flats then yes you can get 14s

rlinden86 what did i tell you about throwing your ricer math around before you knew if it's true

rlinden86 06-14-2007 01:43 PM

i just ran the thing today. i ran a 14.84 1/4 @93mph. 0-100mph i think was about 16 or 17 secs.

ryan.

elecblue06 06-14-2007 01:47 PM

wait so you really went to the 1/4?? and you ran as good as my friends ion

red line... even

rlinden86 06-14-2007 01:51 PM

i got my gauge thingy and did 5 runs and thats what it said so. at 1/4 mile track i know it can already clear 15

ryan.

elecblue06 06-14-2007 01:53 PM

oh so you're probably really running 14.9s but still good

rlinden86 06-14-2007 01:56 PM

well i had 5 runs. i did a couple form 0-100 and the rest i did till about it stopped. there was 14.98 14.87 and 14.85 or something like that. but the rest were like 15s and 16s i was calibrating it it still needs some tweaking though.

ryan.

PpAzZ1101 06-14-2007 02:34 PM

OMG. Until you have a timeslip, you don't have a 1/4 mile time. Gauges, conversions, stopwatches, or sundials won't cut it. Don't you understand that???

Put it this way... there is no way that you ran a better 1/4 mile time than ANYONE has posted on this site when you were running on the street rather than a prepped track like everyone else that has posted their times on here. I call BS on your 14.8 from the gauge.

REDFOCZ 06-15-2007 01:50 PM

Got the intake in today, header and down pipe came in last night. Ordering my Eibachs today or tommorow. :cssNET:
