I doubt any SI will break the current FWD record on Nürburgring since it is held currently by a basically limited produced race car. Cobalt hasn't owned that record for years now lol.

Cooler? Almost without doubt.

Better for my 110 round trip commute featuring seattle mountains and hills? Doubtful. Fuel economy wise or from a predictabilty/stability standpoint were key for my selecting the cobalt ss over a camaro variant at purchase time

Done with FWD. Looks good though. Next car will either be a Duramax Diesel or something AWD.

I agree, if they make a 4 door version I'd be more interested. I like me some FWD, but I'm over the coupe thing.

I've got a buddy that works at Hyundai next to a Chevrolet dealership who asked them about the Cruze SS. He said it's supposed to be a four-door and supposed to have a more powerful LNF

This.

Looks like ass. And I can't believe people that have a cobalt ss would want another fwd car. Especially the people that modded their SS and have no traction. Why go through all that again?

While I don't see a Cruze SS happening, let alone one with AWD, the Chevy Trax is 100% a go in Canada in Europe, and uses the Sonic platform, with the 1.4L turbo and AWD matched to either a 6-speed auto or manual, so, there is some glimmer of hope that a AWD turbo Chevy may come out stateside...

Me and you are in the same boat.
I think a Cruze SS would be cool, even if its FWD. I'm sure the added interior quality and assuming the motor and overall performance is what we expect, should be a nice ride. However, for SS/TC owners, it might be a case of 'been there, done that'.

Hope springs eternal for another hopped up bowtie bearing FWD... however on my short list for the Cobalt's replacement are the

2014 SS sedan,
STI BRZ (needs to at least match the Cobalt SS/TC's satisfactory acceleration)
or a Buick Verano turbo (it would be close enough with a tune is my hope and +1 to the bonus of the Cruze's interior).

I could live with a big rwd if the performance and fuel economy are right when I am not getting on it. My 30.6mpg lifetime average for the Cobalt was a really pleasant surprise but I could live with low 20's in the right car. Depends on how the SS Sedan and the Verano turbo feel. The prospect of an sti BRZ is too good for me to ignore at this point.

I know, I am all over the map with the short list.

Hey G5GT2007 - let me know if you want me to help get a test drive set up for you. We had the opportunity last month to take one out for a drive and it was a nice vehicle!

(As for the 2014 Cruze, I unfortunately don't have information to pass on to you all right now. I'll get you anything I come across, though!)

Hey, sarah, why don't you tell GM that i want to see a rear window on the 2014 Chevrolet SS similar to the one they put on the 1977-1979 Caprice coupes?

I want front-wheel-drive car, and yeah traction this and that but I still have fun with it. It's not like the wheels spinning is a deal breaker for me. If anything It makes me feel good, like I said numerous times, "I'm not trying to be the fastest man in Colorado just want a nice car that's peppy". I'd be happy with a GTI or a Scion tC with turbo that makes 250whp lol. Just as long as it's nice enough for me to enjoy.

I'd like an all-wheel-drive car, but the ones I want aren't in my budget. I want the newest model or low miles in an older (Evox, STI, S60R, ATS, Golf R) and RWD is not gonna happen here in Colorado, just way too much of a hassle. Snow tires, smaller wheels, and sand bags etc. I know, but its too much hassle. I'd have to drive even more pansy than I already do. I'd rather not be bothered. My thing is if my Cobalt gets stuck on the hill at my house so will any RWD I want (Mustang GT+, Dodge Challenger R/T+, Camaro SS, M3, 370z, GenCoupe, FRS/BRZ might be okay, but still). True or not that's my mentality, so no RWD for me. I see too many RWD accidents or abandoned Mustangs/Camaro in the winter months. Although I really do want a M3, Genesis coupe, or Mustang...

Good morning!

Product suggestions are always welcome! I would be happy to create the file that would be accessible to our design teams if you wanted to get in touch with me via DM and include:

Your name and contact information
Your suggestion on the make and model year of vehicle

I can understand if you're hesitant to share your name and contact information; I just would need it to set up the product suggestion file.

All the best,
Sarah
