Cruze Trans Options
Does anyone know if the Eco model will be the only way to get the manual trans? Also, what do most people plan to buy if they get a Cruze? Since we are looking into developing Cruze mods, we would like to know which trans option will be more popular for mod cars.

Yeah, it's a 6 speed. I looked into the Cruze as my next car, but the lack of the option for the manual transmission in the higher trim levels is actually what completely turned me off from the car.
I'd agree with everyone else, the automatic transmission will probably be the most popular option, if for no other reason than Chevrolet is pretty much shoving it down your throat if you want anything other than a base model.

Well, I did a little digging, and it seems the M32 is the transmission used on the 2.0L Iron Block Astra VXR. It looks to something being used in Europe and other areas quite extensively in the future, but only on engines of 2.0L and less. Kinda looks like a replacement for the F23, being used for basically small engines in lightweight vehicles (not small diesel trucks) focused on fuel economy.

they are going to offer a 6speed stick in a 2LT model in december for order. Don't expect any dealers to stock one as GM is charging extra for the manual transmission.
