I was actually just thinking about that last night. I really hope GM makes a Cruze SS and does it RIGHT. I really like the front of the car and an even more aggressive front end (SS style) would look awesome. Hopefully the offer it in (at least) a coupe and change up the rear-end 'cause it looks horrible on the Cruze sedan. LNF-type performance/potential would be great. We'll see... I'm pullin for the General on this one.

It probably won't be an SS it will be a Z#. Whatever it is I hope they put the LNF in it.

And who's going to design said "high-performance derivative" when they disbanded the group in charge of these for years .

Honestly, I'm expecting the same thing. I don't know why but I have a feeling it may not be an "SS". I'm thinking something in the "Z" series as well, but we shall see.

I think they would be dumb to NOT make a high performance model of the Cruze (but I think we are all on the same page there lol). And that concept photochop is real nice! However when I look at it I can't help but think it would end up being like a Scion TC in real life (the roof line to the trunk area anyway)? But either way 4 bangers are the new way to get good performance and good MPG and I am glad to see that at least SOMEONE at GM sees it too.

***GM's RESPONSE*** Cruze SS
https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/2010-future-cruze-discussions-162/%2A%2A%2Agms-response%2A%2A%2A-cruze-ss-144747/

/\ This is an old thread but you get the idea. I sent them a big list of piratical things that should be on the Cruze SS. The list was passed through the GM Performance division

Well...the group wasnt completely disbanded. Some of the top guys are still around and yes these guys know there stuff and it wouldn't be the best to start over.

Looks interesting but I'm hoping this is my last "entry level" car. I love my current SS and my previous SS/SC but 7 to 8 years from now I think I'll want something a bit more luxurious. Must be my old age catching up with me...
