Just what the title says... I thought this was supposed to be "Leaps and bounds" over the cobalt quality.

I dont know WTF Chevy ws thinking with the cruze anyway. The Cobalt didnt sell enough? Ever since the first time I saw the Cruze i thought "BAD IDEA". It's just not a very appealing car IMO.
when you get paid rediculous money to be in a union secured job.... you are gonna get paid doing a good job or a bad job. They have no motivation to create a refined product
this seems like it would be an engineering or sourcing issue, not an assembly line issue, and I dont think GM's engineers are union. But if it was quality control or a parts puller screw up, then maybe it was a union worker. Either way, who cares who's fault it was, just fix it.
I just don't like the way the typical ones are handled. They are good is most cases. (Teachers unions, Public service, most companies.) But the GM Auto unions are mismanaged, and not well regulated.

whoevers faut it is, its comlpletely ridiculous...if that were me i'd never buy a chevy again...whos to stay it will only happen on chevy cruze?? and i dont care if its 12 or 12,000 cars..not one should be faulty in the steering wheel. that and the gas pedal and brake are the only ways of controlling where the vehicle goes..... unreal GM
well thats like saying you would never own a toyota because a problem happens like the gas pedal recall, which was over 2.2 million cars versus a mere 2100

Why would it be an engineering issue? They don't assemble anything and most of them aren't anywhere near the assembly line. If I was going to point fingers I'd point them at the supplier who may have mixed parts in their shipment. Typically parts just come in a huge box and a line worker opens it, grabs a part, puts it on the car, then repeats until the box it empty.
