ZZ Performance buys a Cruze LTZ

We have not worked on the Cruze in months. Even the EFR turbo did not spool very well on this motor. The auto trans was also robbing us of lots of power. We ended up going back to the stock turbo to make some intake revisions. We then bought a Sonic with a manual trans. Since the Sonic has less room under the hood, the turbo setup needs to be revised, anyway. The setup we had on the Cruze will not fit on the Sonic.
As far as power on the larger turbo, it was only about 200whp at high boost. A manual trans car should be much better.

its great that you all are working on these cars to keep the aftermarket alive for the Bowties. I remember having a cavalier and 200 hp would have been awesome for that car back then. Just sucks that we are now back at the mediocre mark for the small chevy vehicles. I just got my ss turbo up and running at 15 psi and all I can say is wow, cant wait to see what it does when I get upwards of my 24 psi goal. Never going back to anything but a built larger displacement ecotec. These LSJ/LNF cars are incredible.
Has chevy hinted to the larger aftermarket manufacturers about an ss version cruze or work on the Cadillac ATS?

I also love the ATS but several factors take it out of my sights.
1. Cost - For the fast one, it's going to be well into the mid 30's.
2. Weight - With the V6 it's almost 3500lbs.
Two factors that go away from a few of the Cobalt's key advantages.
Yeah, I know it's not a Cobalt, but for $35-40k, there are more appealing cars.

Cadillac ATS will be the new venue for anyone looking at an aftermarket performance 4 banger. It has the LNFII in it with a TD04 mitsu turbo equivalent to our k04. That car should be an awesome project car. I mean the engine bay is made to house a 3.8L v6 so space should not be a problem for turbo kits in that car with a 2.0t.
