The numbers arent what matter, its the comparison between the two that people were after. The conditions/dyno was the same for both cars and the turbo beat the S2.

so what your trying to say is thess/tc only lost 2 hp thru the drivetrain its only rated at 260 lbs of tq so thats like saying its making about 290 to 300 lbs tq at the flywheel

they're trying to prove which car makes more power...it doesn't really matter if the dyno is a little forgiving or not because if it is it will be for both cars.
vid still not loading here btw...

He went as far as to pull an engine out of a car and test it on an actual ENGINE dyno, and then tested again in the car on his Dynapack.
He recorded a loss of 20-25hp between the ENGINE dyno and the Dynapack dyno.
Now follow me for a sec ...
Modified Mag got a +24whp with the install of a Stage 2 to a stock SC. Subtract that 24whp from my 227whp and you get 203whp for a stock SC on a Dynapack.
Now, add back the 20-25hp drive train loss between the Dynapack and the engine dyno itself, and a stock SC is making about 223-228 hp AT THE CRANK.
Looks to me like Chevy purposely underestimated the SC by a good 10%. This adds up when you look at Chevy's published dyno chart of the SC. It stops short of red line, and as everyone here already knows, the stock SC makes hp ALL THE WAY to red line.
So they just published hp numbers from a lower rpm.
Tricky ...

I'd like to see a head to head race.. S2 vs. TC from 40 or something. Don't forget gearing, shiftpoints, and even the different redlines all can play a roll in who wins.
But I think the TC takes the cake on this one.

Even the dyno guys at Synapse Motorsports said the SC easily won the "Best Sounding Car Award".
But they said they're working on an intake that will help it's sound ...
Maybe.
Maybe not ...

You should hear mine with the 2.5" catback and stainless muffler.. sounds MEAN. It's one of the deepest sounding 4 bangers i've ever heard. And of course that whine
