Cobalt SS just got "Amtraked"

So I was on my way home pretty late last night when I see this red car with a all to familiar wing. The car is a red Cobalt SS, after market exhaust (dual exhaust in fact), after market rear bumper and gauge pods in the A pillar. Michigan plates and a nice Cobaltss.net stickers on the window.

As I'm making my way pass him, I see him weave through traffic a bit to get beside me. It takes a little while, but he finally decides he wants to see what this RSX has under the hood. I hear him down shift and I wait for that supercharger whine to let me know he is getting on it...

Funny, because although I know he was flooring it; he sure didn't have the getup and go that I was expecting with that blower. So needless to say, I follow suit and downshift into 3rd (we were going around 75mph). What happens next is what I can best describe as a AMTRAK train pulling past a stationary object. I think a better description is the length of space between my car and his after finishing off my 3rd gear is that there was enough space for an AMTRAK train to fit.

After I let off, he clearly does not want to line up with me again. In fact, he speeds through traffic to make sure I don't get beside him again... So I couldn't give him a thumbs up for effort or even

If you see this thread, let me know if you're down for another run if maybe you were in the wrong gear... I sure hope so.

Did you actually hear the blower? If not, chances are it was a 2.2 (maybe 2.4) with an SS/SC wing...

I was expecting to read a story about a Cobalt getting hit by a train, though..

I have the exact same blower on my car. Either his exhaust sounded horribly bad to be an exhaust (which I won't put past him since it was a dual exhaust setup), or it was the same whine that I heard from my car. Hopefully he'll post up so we can be 100% sure. I've been trying to run another local SS in my area, but apparently the local group thinks he'll walk all over me:

There are plenty of terrible SS S/C drivers out there so this is no surprise. 2.4L, mods or terrible driver is the really only way to explain a SS S/C losing to an RSX from a roll.

Its called logic. Faster car beats slower car. Apparently there is another way that a SS S/C can lose to a RSX from a roll... and its very badly

Have fun. But you might want to post in the supercharged forums; since that's what this thread is about

Yes, its called RSX vs all... pretty much like this one. I'm no troll. Posting up my story and replying to your questions. If you read my earlier post, you'll see where I already tried to run a local 'non stock' Cobalt and basically got stood up

Yo man, how do you figure your car stock is faster than ours? Chevy underrated our vehicles. People have dyno'd stock between 210-220. Doens't an RSX-S have 210?

BTW I thought it got hit by a trian too. lol

I'm sure it won't matter what stage the SS is. It will require a second power adder to keep up
