2.2 L61 coolant temp sensor relocate?

Using an LSJ block in my L61 setup. Currently I am trying to install the oil cooler and components for it to work but have ran into a problem. My stock L61 has a coolant temp sensor in the track that connects to the heater hoses. The LSJ T-stat housing piece does not have provisions for the temp sensor. Is there any where I can relocate my water temp sensor?

You could drill, tap, and install it pretty much wherever you want. Not sure if youve ran into this yet but the lsj tstat housing doesnt fit with the f23. There is some clearancing you will have to do.

I just ran into that actually. Made me want to cuss. By clearancing do you mean it is possible or has been done? It looks like I would have to remove a significant amount of material.

might consider a 2.4l tstat housing for an hhr with oil cooler. im not sure if its different than the lsj though, would be worth looking into.

Well I don't know what to do. Can't even route my stock radiator hose around the oil cooler. Can't use the LSJ hose without using the LSJ t-stat housing.

I don't know what I can even try besides try to cut the corner off the LSJ t-stat housing and weld on a plate for clearance.https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cob...fc9000e0df.jpghttps://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cob...c6a73ddf02.jpg

I know for sure you have to cut the top bushing for the shift cable bracket basically in half.the trans itself can be clearanced instead if the stat housing.

The top "bushing" seems to be part of the same mold as the actual bracket itself. Do the cables remove from the bracket easily so I can take the bracket off or will I be doing surgery in the engine bay?
