industrial injection could respec factory injectors to ANY flow rate you desire and if you send them the pump they might be able to do something with it too, although I think it'd be fine flowing more at high pressure.
|
ya theres upgrade VW di injectors but no one has them for our cars. Someone needs to send them off to a company.....
|
Very cool. Sub'd.

I like this build.
But I do think it is funny how in the past if someone talked about compounding boost with a super/turbo charger setup they would get flamed. But since this is a turbo/turbo setup everything is ok! lol |
more stuff coming in.....
Bates chain tensioner spring Bates billet oil pump gear

But since this is a turbo/turbo setup everything is ok! lol I know that some cobalt owners have LNF engines, and I'm sharing my build because I think it would interest them as well as other cobalt owners. If someone wana flame, I will not mind that. I'm here to share and not to have enemies. I build a team of very respectable tuners/fabricators/ecotec fanatics such as BTF, Bates, and SMG. I really think it would be very disrespectful to flame their very special project....... |

Unless you didn't specify it being a custom regrind |

cant wait to see this

hahaha! very keen eyes. I just put it in there and stated that, it's one of the major parts that is stock :) plus I know that there will be a couple of blocks out there (BTF 2.4 stroker kit)....that will be using a different camshaft. so i guess, I just stated that mine is still stock? :) To follow this compound turbo build, you can go to this link: Antonio Sky | Facebook Or search “Antonio Sky” on facebook |
It would be interesting to know how many stock LNF parts are being used and which ones.

I'm not really into flame wars.....especially I'm new in this forum. My car is a saturn sky redline, and I'm an old forum member at skyroadster.com and solsticeforum.com
But your Gt2871R will have great spool to produce all the low end you need to get your motor revving until the big boy takes over. I cant wait for the results.

Because tuners mostly dislike blowers and think turbos are the only power makers. That's why the twincharge idea never really took off short of the couple ZZP-done cars.

pff twincharge, compound turbo, its all very cool to see it actually done. The people that flame are freaking ignorant...you also see them say the same about SC's and how they should of gone turbo instead..its highly irritating.
|
Sounds amazing. Cant wait to see the end result.

I know that guy :) Really nice and very knowledgeable and his 300zx can move the fuck out.

UPDATE:
since, I'm very cautious about using a tubular manifold that will crack later on. Burnsstainless.com will be providing BTF 321 stainless steel to use for the manifold fabricating. 321 stainless steel tubing is one of the most desirable materials for exhaust systems because of its excellent resistance to fatigue and cracking at elevated temperatures. It is usually the material of choice for high temperature turbo applications. On top of that, I talked to the manager/metallurgist of Nitrofreeze about having the 321 stainless steel manifold cryo-treated since I really want the BTF tubular manifold to last and not crack due to heat cycles. Ryan told me that a 321 stainless steel is 17-19% carbon. It would benefit from cryo-treatment. the manifold will undergo stress relieving. This helps remove stresses that will develop intro cracks as the part ages. Retained austenite will convert to martensite making the manifold less susceptible to cracking. So Nitrofreeze.com, one of my sponsors recommended to have my 321 tubular manifold, dp, and other hot parts be cryo-treated first.....before going to swaintech for ceramic coating. |

It would be interesting what other people debate about :) oh about mallett cars.....they are cool and everything............but not really into V8s. It's been done by tons of people already. I like my set-up to be different....so I can set my car apart from the rest :) |

It's going to be a slow build out, most likely finished in Jan/Feb 2011..
also i like your parts list!! I might go out and get some of them, especially the cryo threatment!! if you need a reputable and honest shop to do your cryo-treatment, let me know.....so I can direct you to the right person. I highly recommend cryo-treatment, it makes the parts 30-50% more durable :) |
