Lower intake port and polish project

I started on my lower intake project. I am going to be polishing the inlet and removing alot of the uneveness. Today i took the dremel to the inlet, already you can tell a huge difference. The pictures dont look that well because of the metal, it tends to leave marks with the dremel. But running my fingers across it, it when from the surface type of the outside of a blower, to a nice smooth metal feel. Still rough, but you need to use your nail to feel the bumps now.

Before

After

Ill keep updating this thread as i go, tomorrow i am going to buy some real fine grit sand paper and get it really smooth, hopefully i can polish it up some as well if i have time.

I dont plan on going crazy with this like Omega_5 more so just an average joe job, i think thers a decent amount of power to be recouped. The exit ports are really bad, they are uneven and smaller than the ports on the head.

well here is the finished inlet, its very smooth, can barely feel anything with my nail, fingers its fine.

Next i am going to be having a buddy of mine who does manufacturing for automotive companies make the end plate into dual pass, then finish off with a port of the ports. Blwon-4-Banger are you porting the ports yourself or are you paying someone to do it? If your paying someone how much is it costing? and if your doing it yourself got some tips?

Next to that lump on the left i was unable to get the dremel or anything really down there, its a small spot out of the way so i dont think its going to make a huge difference.

once i get my intake done and a tune on it, i will be jumping on the dyno.

Mods at that point will be

-Coolant Resevoir
-Dual Pass End plate
-Port and Polish Lower intake
-2.9 inch pulley
-Custom Tune
-42lb injectors
-Modified stock airbox

If i can make 260WHP ill be happy, but i think that might be pushing it.

sounds good. Just let me know. I'm interested as I'll have to pull my intake manifold to install my dual pass when I get back, might as well do something that would benefit more power while I'm at it. But I don't want to do anything stupid and **** it up.
