Thoughts on the CTS coupe? (NOT V!)

So an oppertunity has come up and I may be able to get the following

2011 Diamond Black CTS coupe
6spd manual w/ LSD
140,000 km
19" factory sport wheel option
Winter tires/rims included
Ebony interior
Performance Trim level
RWD
3.6
$12-14,000 we're looking at, car wont be s/e test I gotta do that.

Will it feel like a snail compared to the cobalt?

Basically it's a friend of my fathers who's very well off, he just got a new ATS V and doesn't really know what to do with this car now it just sorta sits there and he's himming and hawing about doing me a favour...keep in mind used cars in Canada are more $$ than in the states.

My cobalts been pissing me off lately, it's at 240,000 km now and every month its throwing a tantrum with CEL's and **** breaking, I still love it but it's becoming a huge pain in my ass.

What do you guys think? price seems alright? would you guys do it? I can buy it outright so car payments wont be a thing, I'm really considering it, yea yea its not a V..ITS NOT A V, I looked at a few V's but the thought of car payments makes my skin crawl.

Should be a nice car, and it will be slower than the cobalt but it shouldn't be too bad. I'm thinking that v6 is around 320hp, but they are pretty heavy. You going to be ok with the rwd in the winter, even though it's got snow tires with it?

Sounds like good deal.

Might not be as quick but it's way more grown up.

the 3.6 in those cars is 304 hp 273 ft/lb. its respectable for what it is. im sure it would wake up a fair bit with the typical bolt ons and tuning. there is also a supercharger kit that puts them over 400 whp.

Yep, had an ATS RWD for a year, was ok through the winter with all seasons

lol yeah I saw that, and TBH unless I got a V8 that was laughably modable I'm not too concerned about making big power, the cobalt was really enough for day to day.

...thats not to say I wasn't looking on D3 :P

I never liked how the back end on those coupes look. For $25,000 you could find a lot more.
